Fundamentals of Shading:

Graphite and Colour Pencils

Design a "How to Shade"
Lesson Package

This lesson package is designed to help students practice shading using both graphite and coloured pencils. It introduces tonal values and colour theory while accommodating students of varying skill levels. Pre-recorded demonstrations are a companion resource to support their learning, allowing students to follow the teacher’s training videos at their own pace.

In class, students engage in hands-on practice while having the opportunity to ask teachers questions in real time. This approach enables teachers to move around the classroom, providing individual guidance, while students can revisit the recorded demonstrations on their learning devices for reinforcement. This blended learning method ensures a more interactive and flexible learning experience.

Students incorporated shading techniques into their final artwork.
